This week's speaker will be Shawna Hanson, the Media Outreach Coordinator from MonTECH.
MonTECH, is a lending library of assistive technology (AT) and equipment. They offer free loans of AT for 30 days so families can assess what will, and will not, help their children. They also loan some adaptive equipment and adaptive trikes. MonTECH sells nothing; instead, they offer the opportunity to trial devices, or borrow a device while a family pursues funding or waits on repairs to their own equipment. Of particular value to the autism community, they loan iPads with communication apps. These apps can be expensive, and it’s important to have the chance to try them out before spending money on them.
